Protect Your Property From Nuisance Birds With Expert Bird Proofing
As majestic as birds look when they’re wheeling around in the skies, when they land on roofs or build nests on your property, they can cause serious issues.
Birds can cause a disturbance, as they are very noisy, particularly larger pest birds such as gulls and pigeons. They can also damage your property, especially if they leave behind large amounts of droppings. Bird droppings, or guano, spread diseases and can be difficult to get rid of without professional support.

Thankfully, help is at hand. As part of our bird control services, LPPC Environmental offers a range of bird proofing solutions, including bird netting and bird spike installation. We can also fit other bird deterrents and use falconry to make your area unsafe for pigeons and other pest birds and stop ground nesting birds from entering your area. Learn more about falconry in our guide: What Is Falconry? How Pest Controllers Use Birds Of Prey.
Once the birds have been removed from the area and aren’t able to return, our experts can also carry out bird guano cleaning to improve the health and safety of your site for employees and visitors. For homeowners, we can install pigeon proofing solutions to protect your solar panels and roof area.
Whatever pest control solutions you need, LPPC Environmental has the solution. Our team are ready and waiting to help homeowners and business leaders throughout Aberdeen and nationwide. To book a site visit, call 08000116100 or fill out our contact form today.

Nuisance Pigeons Causing Issues At A Rugby Club
The team at Wigan Warriors Rugby Club got in touch with us to help them resolve a recurring problem with feral pigeons perching on the underside of the stadium stand overhang and causing fouling to the seating below.
Chris, of Hawk Environmental, who carries out the pest control services for the Wigan Warriors, got in touch to enlist the help of LPPC Environmental due to the sheer scale of the job works required. The main aim of getting us in, was to proof the stand in the form of a large netting installation, in order to prevent the pigeons from being able to access the overhang and therefore eradicating the recurrent fouling problem.

To begin the work, we had one of our team members attend the site after initial contact was made to carry out a full survey of the stand and the area. It was at this point that a net installation was confirmed to be the correct route to go down in this case, to successfully combat the issue of the feral pigeons.
A full survey was carried out, which included measurements of the site and stand, identification of access points, identification of secure points for attachments and supports, a full set of photographs, and risk assessment.

Solutions Implemented
The full stand canopy as 60m x 11m, and so a 50mm black net was installed. Amongst the net itself, twenty-three 2m zips, along with twelve 1m zips, were installed throughout. This was to ensure easy access to the sound and lighting electrics within the stand without damaging the net in any way.

What Species Of Pest Birds Are Found In The UK?
The most common nuisance birds in the UK are pigeons and seagulls. However, other birds, such as sparrows, crows, starlings and others, can be a menace if they are seeking shelter and a food source on your property. Thankfully, LPPC Environmental offers expert bird control solutions to safely and humanely remove any bird species.
Why Do Birds Nest On Your Roof?
Birds build nests on roofs that seem safe and will provide them with somewhere secure to lay their eggs away from predators and the elements. As such, they are attracted to properties with solar panels that they can roost underneath or large commercial buildings with lots of space.
What Kind Of Properties Do You Protect From Birds?
At LPPC Environmental, we protect both commercial premises and homes across Aberdeen and the UK. For homes, we offer pigeon proofing for solar panels to stop birds from nesting underneath. For commercial properties, we can offer a full range of bird control solutions, including bird netting, bird spikes, falconry and more. Our bird control solutions can be used to manage pest birds across sites of all sizes and types, ranging from golf courses to office buildings and more.
What Is The Most Effective Bird Deterrent?
The most effective solution for keeping birds at bay depends on the species of birds you’re dealing with, the size of your site and the type of property you have. Our professional bird control technicians use a range of solutions, including high-quality bird netting and spikes, both of which are designed with longevity and effectiveness in mind. They also have access to birds of prey and other natural bird deterrents. Our team has successfully protected sites throughout the UK from nuisance birds, so they have the knowledge needed to provide advice and support that meets your needs and is compliant with relevant legislation.
